Gruene is a Texas Tradition

H.D. Gruene's historic house was built in 1872 and not much has changed since.

Situated on the Guadalupe River in the quickly-growing community of New Braunfels, Texas, Gruene has been gently resisting change since 1872. Nestled just below the Gruene Water Tower sits The Gruene Mansion Inn next door to Gruene Hall, Gristmill, fine dining restaurants and the best nightlife around.

Come on down and enjoy Gruene, Tx, where we have riding the river and live tunes at Gruene Hall every day. You never need a reason to come to Gruene, but if you do be sure to join us for yearly festivals such as Gruene Music and Wine Festival. Gruene Also has Tour De Gruene in November, Gruene Country Christmas in December and every third weekend is Gruene Market Days.

Deep in tradition, the mansion was one of the first buildings in Gruene, in 1872. The Gruene Mansion Inn began as H.D. Gruene's historic Eastlake Victorian home and cotton plantation. All our accommodations are century-old barns and homes restored to our own Victorian Rustic Elegance - A combination of antiques, fine fabrics, and handmade furniture. Every room has a unique character and offers details such as clawfoot tubs and deep pedestal sinks.

Featured in publications such as People Magazine, Travel + Leisure, Southern Living, Texas Highways, Texas Monthly and Romantic Getaways. The Gruene Mansion Inn is the perfect getaway for the business traveler, couples, and families. Our visitors enjoy the authentic ambiance that surrounds them while staying at the best place to stay in Gruene. Located in the middle of Gruene, our visitors don't have to "get back" in their car, everything is a two-step away. When you're ready to retreat, enjoy the view of the serene Guadalupe River in our full sized rocking chairs.
